75 FSS

75TH FORCE SUPPORT SQUADRON - HILL AFB UT – 75th Force Support Squadron launches new program. The 75th Force Support Squadron Fan Club launched in January, 2009, provides the Hill Air Force Base community with innovative programming, including First Fridays at the Club program, followed by March Madness, a May Fitness Expo, an Outdoor Recreation/Adventure Expo and more. Based on the idea that the 75th Force Support Squadron (75 FSS) has fans, not just customers, the Fan Club concept was introduced - making it a first of its kind in the Air Force. Promotion for the program included a presentation on U tube and giant Styrofoam fingers distributed to fans.

On June 6, the 75th Force Support Squadron celebrated the first six months of the new program by giving away a 2009 Nissan Versa provided through commercial sponsorship with Ken Graff Riverdale Nissan. Prior to the Tops In Blue performance, twenty fans were selected for a chance to win the car. Fans earned the opportunity through participation in various Fan Club events and random drawings of entries collected since the beginning of the program. The individuals’ eligibility was verified and the twenty finalists were invited to the Hill Air Force Base Open House and Air Show. Each of the finalists drew a number to determine the order they would draw for a key. The first person to successfully start the Nissan Versa would drive away as the owner of the new car, and as the 75 FSS Fan Club’s "Number One Fan.” Maj John Barlett, standing in for the 20th finalist, Norma Webb, inserted the key and the car’s $1,000 sound system, provided through sponsorship with Best Buy, came to life.

Norma Webb, a retired dependent and long time Club Hill BINGO player claimed her prize on June 10, 2009. “This is the greatest thing I have ever been through in my whole life,” she said.

If you are not already a fan, it’s not too late for Hill Air Force Base employees and family members to join in the excitement. During the second half of the year 75 FSS Fans will have the chance to win tickets to ten games of the 2009-2010 Utah Jazz season. Four packages for two are being provided for the games in the Lower Bowl. Fans also have the opportunity to win a $3000 Shopping Spree to R.C. Willey, a Family Season Pass for four to Snow Basin, and much more. Now is the time to check out the 75th FSS programs and activities and become a Fan. REMEMBER! Anyone can be a Fan. Fans can enter to win (Club Members will receive 2 entries) by making purchases of good/services and/or participating in day-to-day 75th Force Support operations. (No federal endorsement of sponsors intended.)
